My Darren Criss and Warblers meeting storyMy friends and I decided to go out because we heard that Heather Morris was roaming the streets of Toronto. 10 minutes into our walk, guess who we see leaving the store that we were passing…you guessed it! Darren, Jon, Riker, Curt and Titus all walk out through the revolving doors. My reaction was just pure shock. I had no idea what to do. So I said “Darren!” but he didn’t hear me (or was trying to go unrecognized). I then called “Jon!” and he also didn’t hear me. I think I was very quiet because I didn’t know what to do. I see Riker and decide that his name is the least common of the pack (and he was also the last person to leave) so I called out his name and he heard me. He turned around and was like “Hey!” I then, quietly asked if he could call the other boys over for us and they all came back to say hi. I was SO nervous because I wasn’t prepared at all nor did I expect to meet ANY of them. Darren was the first to give me a hug and I was basically by his side the whole time since he kept rubbing my back and hugging me in the middle of talking. I was freaking out in my mind, but didn’t show it as much.
I asked my friend for the Darren Appreciation Project and got it out (I dropped the disc because I’m a klutz). He was so excited about it! I asked him for a video of his reaction to it for the people who supported me throughout this whole thing. He gladly accepted. You will see the video when I post it soon. It’s loading, taking it’s sweet time - sorry about that.
I kept apologizing (as you will hear in the video) and he kept saying that he felt like an “asshole” for not getting anything for us while we made him this book. Also, he swears like a sailor. No lie.
We chatted about random things for a bit, nothing too much. They were on their way to go bike riding with the rental bikes so they were in a rush but, being sweet, all of them stopped for 10 minutes. Of course.
Afterwards, I asked them for a picture and they all gladly accepted. And here it is!
The funniest moment: at the end, they were leaving and I remembered that we made cookies for them. We called them back and Jon, Riker and Darren came back. They were hesitant because they didn’t have a place to hold them but when I told them that we baked them right before we came, they all started to open the container to have at it. Jon was having trouble getting the cookie because it was warm and falling apart and then Riker asked Darren if he wanted to share half and Darren responded with “No, man!” and proceeded to devour the whole giant cookie. They took the whole container after, regardless of the previous problem. I guess they enjoyed them.
They waved when they left, it was adorable.
And that’s it! I’ll post the video when it decides it wants to load.
