Oscar coverage kicks off on Sunday, February 26 at 1:30pm ET/10:30am PT (live to both coasts) with Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, George Kotsiopoulos, Ross Mathews and more. Although the show will be anchored live from the famed Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard, the site of the very first Academy Award show, many of the correspondents will be based at various locations around Hollywood to bring up-to-the-minute updates on everything happening in the hours leading up to the big night.

In addition to a special recap of all the nominees to help viewers prepare for the big event, predictions for the big wins of the night, and an insiders look at all the red carpet trends, the Countdown show will feature: three very special guest hosts including Selita Ebanks, Kristin Cavallari and Sarah Hyland; the only performance by Kermit the Frog that day as he performs “Rainbow Connection” with “Glee’s” Darren Criss in celebration of the Oscar-nominated song "Man or Muppet" from "The Muppet Movie"; celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves who will give viewers the latest on the sexy red carpet up-dos; a fashion show with looks inspired by the films “Midnight in Paris,” “My Week with Marilyn” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” that will show viewers how to integrate each of those looks into their everyday style; and a number of feathered, furry and scaly animals that helped make movie magic last year, including the ‘infamous’ monkey from “The Hangover Part II.”

Darren Criss to duet with Kermit the Frog at pre-Oscar show

The Oscars are this weekend and none other than Darren Criss will be performing with the legendary Kermit the Frog during one network’s pre-show!
According to Zap2It, E! will be televising a pre-Oscar show that will feature Darren Criss performing with Kermit the Frog!
“…the Countdown show will feature: three very special guest hosts including Selita Ebanks, Kristin Cavallari and Sarah Hyland; the only performance by Kermit the Frog that day as he performs ‘Rainbow Connection’ with ‘Glee’s' Darren Criss in celebration of the Oscar-nominated song ‘Man or Muppet’ from ‘The Muppet Movie,’”
The pre-show will happen all day this Sunday, February 24th on E! This performance has not been given a specific time.

Glee's Darren Criss and Kermit: Sneak Peek Pics From Video Duet

When you're feeling froggy, you just gotta leap (or strum a guitar and sing with Kermit the Frog in Darren Criss' case).

The Glee star and Kermit the Frog teamed up for a cutesy duet getting teased on E!'s Oscar Countdown today, but before the duo gets their "Rainbow Connection" on (we'll have the exclusive video online this afternoon), they gave us a peek at what was in store.

"At rehearsal with Kermit. And I thought I had a froggy voice! #Muppets #ERedCarpet," Criss wrote on his WhoSay account, posting a photo of himself and the Muppets main man by the Hollywood Roosevelt's swanky pool Saturday.

"Can barely contain myself. Not only do I get to meet one of my all-time biggest heroes, Kermit The Frog—I get to sing with him too! For E!'s Oscar countdown on Sunday! @eonline #eredcarpet," Criss tweeted Saturday as well.

The pair is performing together in celebration of the Oscar-nominated song "Man or Muppet" from The Muppet Movie.

At John's shindig, first-time attendee "Glee" star Darren Criss, himself musically inclined, noted the irony of "The Artist" juxtaposed against the party's backdrop of booming music and screamed conversation.

"When people allegedly schmooze, they shout at each other. I like to sit down and have a conversation," he said.

Jean Dejardin wasn't the only hearthrob at the Oscars last night.

Before the ceremony, Glee's Darren Criss and Kermit the Frog got together for a cutesy rendition of "Rainbow Connection," with Criss on the guitar. I mean, the song is already super adorable, but these guys' awesome chemistry (especially when harmonizing) makes it 100 times more adorable than it reasonably should be.

Also, how perfect is it that Darren Criss is singing to us about dreaming? I mean, we've probably all dreamed of marrying him for two years now, so if he's singing to us that dreaming is OK, then it's just going to encourage us more

Jean Dujardin n'étaiot pas la seule idole des Oscars la nuit dernière.

Avant la cérémonie, Darren Criss de Glee et Kermit la grenouille se sont retrouvés pour une performance trop mignone sur "Rainbow connexion", avec Criss à la guitare. Je veux dire la chanson est deja trop adorable mais la super connection entre ses deux mecs (surtout sur les harmonies) la rend 100 fois plus adorable que ce qu'elle devrait raisonnablement être.

Egalement, n'est ce pas parfait que Darren Criss chante à propos de réver? Je veux dire, on a probablement tous révé de l'épouser depuis 2 ans maintenant, donc si il nous chante que c'est ok de réver, ça ne va faire que nous encourager.

Foster the People kicked off the entertainment after the dinner portion concluded, and they literally rocked the park (the place was shaking). But the funniest moment had to be watching Glee’s Darren Criss dance feet from Cloris Leachman, who was front and center at the concert. The drums were banging, the music was blaring, and there was Cloris, right in front. Only thing missing was my Aunt Ruth

Foster the People a lancé les festivités après la fin du diner, et ils ont littéralment fait bouger le Parc (l'endroit se secouait). Mais le moment le plus drole a été de regarder Darren Criss de Glee danser à quelques metres de Cloris Leachman (vieille actrice US), qui était au premier rang au milieu au concert. La batterie était à fond, la musique aussi et Cloris était là, juste devant. La seule chose qui manquait était ma tante Ruth.

Le mignon de "Glee" et l'amphibien préféré de tous ont fait équipe pour une performance de "Rainbow Connection" pendant le show de compte à rebours des Oscars de E!.

Classe en costards noirs, le duo s'est lancé dans une performance pleine de joie du fameux hit des Muppets, avec Darren à la guitare acoustique. C'est la performance des Oscars la plus chou qu'on ai vu depuis des années...et elle n'a même pas eu lieu pendantr le show.
